Java Web Services Library (IRIS-WS) IRIS-WS webpage

The IRIS-WS Library is a Java API that allows direct access to data and information at the DMC from within your programs. This library allows a Java developer to access DMC-stored data wthout dealing directly with the web service interfaces or, more importantly, the internal formats of the DMC. Even though the web services typically return XML or SEED data, users of this library do not need XML or SEED knowledge to process the returned information.

libmseed — The Mini–SEED library

A C library framework for manipulating and managing SEED data records. This version of the library supports Win32 architectures in addition to Linux, Solaris and Mac OSX, thus the tar.gz and zip bundles.

SeedCodec SeedCodec webpage

SeedCodec is a library of seismic compression and decompression routines in Java. Currently support is for Steim1 compression, and decompression of Steim1 and 2, dwssn, cdsn and sro.

seisFile seisFile webpage

SeisFile is a library for reading and writing seismic file formats in java. Currently support is for SAC, MSEED, PSN and StationXML. Support for the IRIS DMC Station and DataSelect web services, USGS LISS, USGS CWB and Geofon SeedLink protocols are also included.
