This is an active-source seismic experiment along the Eastern Lau Spreading Center to test whether variations in mantle melt supply control ridge crest features such as morphology, thermal structure, and hydrothermal venting. The experiment consists of 84 deployments of ocean bottom seismographs (1 failure) deployed along a 100 km section of the ridge. Active-source data were generated by the R/V Langseth airgun array along approximately 60 seismic lines.
