This is the eighth unit in the Remote Online Sessions for Emerging Seismologists (ROSES), an online course for graduate students. ROSES is hosted by the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Seismology Section. This unit on PyGMT is provided by Liam Toney, PhD Student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Objectives:

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • create data-rich geographic maps utilizing the Python wrapper developed for the unix command-line based Generic Mapping Tools
