2020 AGU Workshop on Distributed Acoustic Sensing
Virtual
Tuesday, December 1st, 2020, 1–7pm

The 2020 AGU Workshop on Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) Workshop was held December 1, 2020 from 1-7pm ET as part of the virtual 2020 AGU Fall Meeting. Sessions included varied talk formats and topics related to collecting and using DAS data as well as presentations from instrument vendors aimed at a broad audience, from new users to experienced researchers. The recordings from this workshop are now available on YouTube.

Organizers:

  • Scott Tyler (University of Nevada, Reno)
  • Rachel Hatch (University of Nevada, Reno)
  • Herbert Wang (University of Wisconsin-Madison)
  • Kasey Aderhold (IRIS)
  • Robert Woodward (IRIS)

For more information on the DAS Research Coordination Network, please go to the DAS RCN website. If you are interested in future DAS events or opportunities, please subscribe to the DAS RCN mailing list.

The DAS RCN and its activities are supported by funding from the National Science Foundation under award EAR-1948737. Additional support for this event is provided by The University of Wisconsin, Madison, Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS), The Centers for Transformative Environmental Monitoring Programs (CTEMPs), and The American Geophysical Union and a special thanks to Jim Colleton from AGU for behind the scenes organizing.
