How can I use the online DMC tools to get precise station co-ordinates?

IRIS uses two decimals for station coordinates in mda and gmap, so users only get relative locations for making maps and viewing icons on maps. Operators asked us not to provide the exact location of stations, on maps, in order to prevent vandalism.

You can view station coordinates with more precision using SeismiQuery.

Make sure you click on the latitude and longitude check boxes (see screenshot below) above the map icon shown in the inventory display and clicking on the display options you would like returned, like start/end times of stations, etc. Leave any fields blank where you want wildcarded information.
