JOB DUTIES - Primary responsibilities are to support seismic research both in the field and in the lab. Duties include: preparing equipment for shipping; worldwide field support including the Arctic and Antarctic; development of specialized equipment for seismic stations in harsh environments; produce and maintain documentation and web content related to field support; and user training. Hardware and wireless communications testing, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering. Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural engineering design. Field data collection systems desired. Wireless communications, installation, and network design desired. DC power systems desired. Time Series Data Formats desired. Seismological Field experience desired.
