Postdoctoral position in seismology at the University of New Mexico

November 8th, 2013

A postdoctoral position in seismology is available at the University of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque. There are many potential opportunities in studies of lithospheric and deeper mantle structure beneath North America across a wide range of spatial scales. Candidates interested in a mix of seismic analysis and fieldwork are encouraged. Specific goals for the first year of the position will be designed based on the mutual interests of the postdoc and mentor (Brandon Schmandt). The position is available for two years, pending evaluation of progress at the end of the first year. If you are interested in the position please send a CV, 1-page statement of research interests, and contact information for three references to bschmandt@unm.edu. Completion of a PhD is required to start the position. The position is open immediately, but start dates as late as Summer 2014 are possible.
