System Integration Manager

Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) Instrumentation Services is searching for a Systems Integration Manager to join our team.

The Systems Integration Manager is responsible for managing the integrative activities of Data Collection Centers (DCCs) that support SAGE PI instrument pools and networks and other award activities currently overseen by IRIS and its subawards. Although this position will be focused on work that falls primarily under the purview of IRIS Instrumentation Services, it will also require interaction and coordination with IRIS Data Services. The integration of DCCs encompasses a suite of tasks relating to PI-support services at the PASSCAL Instrument Center (PIC) that relate to PASSCAL, Polar, MT, and Frontier activities and the operation of the Global Seismographic Network stations funded by NSF. It also will look forward to adding new project data collection needs, such as SZ4D. These tasks require interaction between the PIC, network operations, and the IRIS Data Management Center. The Systems Integration Manager will collaborate with the staff of both the PIC (New Mexico Tech) and GSN (UC-San Diego) to transition and continue these activities under the direct operation and responsibility of EarthScope as part of the IRIS/UNAVCO merger. Future responsibilities following the merger will focus on line management of resources to support the successful collection and curation of data collected by those activities EarthScope may be supported to perform as well as interaction with functional managers to maintain or develop the capabilities and processes of internal DCCs.
