As a Scientific Software Developer, you will work closely with our data processing and R&D teams, and would take responsibility for the software that we use routinely in data processing: establishing a version control system like Git or SVN, organisation of the codes and algorithms in routine use, recoding some parts in Python, work on a GUI, establishing module tests, etc.
What we are looking for:
- Excellent programming skills in Python and Matlab (at least);
- Master degree in geophysics, seismology, mathematics, physics (PhD is an additional advantage, although it is not required);
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- An advantage would be experience in surface waves tomography and inversion (ideally ANSWT) and/or passive seismic data and processing.
The ideal candidate would have a strong interest in programming and software architecture, be adaptable, a good communicator and detail oriented. We’re looking for someone who is dedicated and who would be excited to join the Sisprobe adventure – addicted to innovation
The successful candidate will be based in our office in Grenoble, France, at the heart of the Alps mountains. The base salary would be 25000 - 35000 euros per year, included Health Care and Retirement benefits.
