Postdoctoral Research Associate in Geophysics

The Geophysics Group at Los Alamos National Laboratory has an immediate
opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate with strong geophysics,
machine learning and computational science skills. The successful
candidate will develop novel computational techniques based on machine
learning methods, and apply them to geophysical dataset for subsurface
characterization and monitoring. The term of the appointment is two
years, with a possible extension to a third year depending on the
performance and funding availability.
* A Ph.D. in Geophysics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Sciences,
Computer Sciences, or a related field, obtained within the past 5 years
or soon to be obtained.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team,
with good communication skills.
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages
