Postdoctoral Positions Available in Seismology

One or two two-year postdoctoral scholar positions in seismology are available at the Department of Earth and Space Sciences, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). We seek colleagues with strong motivation in seismic data analysis and seismic full-waveform imaging to study multiscale crustal and mantle structures of continents and oceans. Candidates with experience of high-performance computing or processing ocean-bottom-seismographs are highly encouraged. A PhD in geophysics or related fields is required.

A globally competitive remuneration with benefit will be offered commensurate with professional experience and qualifications.

SUSTech was established in 2012 as a public research university in the tech capital of Shenzhen, China, with the mission to reform Chinese tertiary education and become a top-notch international research university. The Department of Earth and Space Sciences was established in December 2016. Xiaofei Chen, a renowned seismologist and an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, is appointed as an initiatory departmental head.
