  This figure depicts how a user of the Data Brokering Service would send a single request to the FDSN brokering service node. The broker would determine which participating data center manages the data being requested. the brokering service would then use the data retrieval mechanism preferred by the specific data center to retrieve the data. This process would be repeated for all data centers holding data requested by the user. the data would then be assembled at the FDSN node into a single product that would be returned to the user, satisfying their request.</p>
