The IRIS DMC is hosting a second workshop for users interested in the Portable Data Collection Centers (PDCC) software. The goal of the workshop is to introduce the latest version of the PDCC software to new and current users and to offer hands-on instruction in its use. IRIS DMC staff will present PDCC and other topics such as the SEED format, RESP files, and various software tools. Extra time will be allowed for one-on-one guidance in the use of the PDCC software. A specific syllabus will be developed to fit to a three-day course of instruction. Users who had participated in the first workshop in December, 2003 are also encouraged to attend since we will demonstrate new software features.
The hands-on training aspect of the workshop means that each attendee will want to bring a portable computer (laptop or notebook) that is capable of reading a CD-ROM, and preferably can connect to an ethernet network.
