1. San Juan, Puerto Rico
A seismographic station in Puerto Rico has been in operation
as Vieques (VQS) from 1903-1924, as San Juan (SJP) from 1926-1963, and San
Juan (SJG) from 1963 to the present. For
SJP, the station information is given in the file: SanJuan_Charlier1953.pdf Station
information about VQS and SJG is now in preparation.
Each seismogram on microfilm was scanned at 8-bit gray
scale and high resolution (2400 dpi or better, so that it is equivalent to
300 dpi or better for the original-size seismogram before microfilming) and
image editing was performed for quality control. The filename include station
code, year, month, date, and component of the seismogram.
