SEED Manual Released

SEED Manual CoverThe 2006 edition of SEED Reference Manual is now available for download as a PDF file. The Standard for the Exchange of Earthquake Data (SEED) is an international standard format for the exchange of digital seismological data. SEED was designed for use by the earthquake research community, primarily for the exchange between institutions of unprocessed earth motion data.

The manual includes a table of contents and full index. Click on a page number in the index to jump directly to the referenced page. A list of bookmarks makes the document easy to navigate. Tim Ahern, Rob Casey and Rick Benson contributed information to this new edition. A printed version of the SEED Manual will be available from the IRIS DMC.
