Chris Laughbon - Senior Software Engineer

Chris is a computer programmer employed at IRIS to enhance and maintain certain programs, most notably, rdseed. Recently Chris has been involved in development of new programs using Java and client/server technologies like Wiggles - a seismogram viewer that is part of the new BUD interface. (See related article in this newsletter.)

"I've lived in Seattle and worked for IRIS for 7 years. While I love working with IRIS there isn't a day goes by that the thought doesn't come to me.. 'If I'd only worked at Microsoft ... I could have bought the DMC'. But my family and I greatly enjoy living in the Pacific Nor'west as it affords ample opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities."
