Rick Braman - Retires from the IRIS DMC
After 17 years working as the Senior Systems Administrator for the IRIS DMC, Rick Braman decided to retire in February 2011. We thank Rick for his dedicated service to IRIS and wish him good luck with his new business venture.
Since I left IRIS, I have started my own business, Braman Custom Woodworking and Electronics. With this business, I am pursuing two lifelong passions of mine. In the woodworking part of my business, I will be doing custom cabinets, furniture, and closet organizers. I am currently building two pieces of furniture for two different clients, and have a small project for the Oroville library, an entertainment center, and a kitchen lined up. This should keep me busy for the next 3 to 4 months. The electronics part of my business will encompass design and building of custom electronic devices, such as well monitors, and guitar amplifiers. In addition I will be repairing consumer electronic equipment and musicians gear. I am also providing electronic support for the Osoyoos Model Railroad Museum. Since retiring from IRIS, I now have my weekends back, as I used to work all weekend on woodworking and electronics jobs. I am really enjoying being home full time, and my very short walk down to my shop!
