Sue Schoch - Senior Software Engineer
Sue Schoch began working for the IRIS DMC in May 1989 in Austin, TX. Sue has an Associate's degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and is an Oracle Certified Database Administrator. She is responsible for the care and feeding of the Oracle database as well as programs that process SEED data from data collection centers and programs that process BREQ_FAST requests. Sue worked on SeismiQuery and the DHI network and event CORBA servers as well as many DMC internal programs. She recently completed a project to get phase information into the IRIS database. Currently, Sue is working on moving the database to a new server and upgrading to the latest Oracle software release. Sue resides in upstate New York and is married to Paul, an electrical engineering professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. They have six children and seven grandchildren. Sue enjoys any fiber related activity and traveling to visit grandchildren. Congratulations to Sue for twenty years of service at IRIS.
