Update

Sorry for the delay in my posts. I have been trying to get the data processing for nine months done; locate nine months worth of earthquakes. I am just about done. I hope to finish by tomorrow, afterwards I will work on a figure to illustrate what work I have done this summer. I have a GRE on Thursday the 14th of August, and though I still need to study I will try to get a quick abstract draft done before then, if not I will be working on getting the poster and abstract done before the 25th of August, my first day of classes.

Since I have been working from home for the past week and a half it has been difficult to get the data processed because the remote login is so much slower than being directly logged into the network at Miami University. While working at home I have been locating earthquakes, playing with my daughters, changing diapers, making meals, pretty much giving my wife get a little respite from everything she had to do while I was away.

Sounds like a lot of work!

Sounds like a lot of work! Are you taking the general GRE or a subject one or something? Good luck with everything!

I am taking the general GRE,

Good luck on the GRE. It's a

Good luck on the GRE. It's a frustrating test. As you may have already surmised, there's really no need to dwell on lists of incredibly obscure vocabulary, just get a good night's rest and go in with a clear head. Please post a figure whenever you get the opportunity!

Where did you leave things with your advisor when you departed Miami? Are you set for your AGU abstract?

I am going to be working on

I am going to be working on a first draft of the abstract today, and tomorrow. I will then post it on my blog, and send it to Mike Brudzinski for a review.
