Field Work

This is my fourth day in washington doing field work. They are long but fun days. I get to do all sorts of things from operating the seismic source, GPS, driving trucks, and analyzing data. Im pretty busy, but the area is pretty cool compared to Boise and does not get quite as hot. I hope that soon we will be able to go to downtown Seattle and check out the city there. It should be fun for my final month on the west coast before I head back down to Florida!

Any photos of the work to share? Are you in a suburban area working along the edges of roads? Since you mentioned your final month, how about a reflective post on what you have accomplished so far and how that compared to where you want to end up after a few more weeks of work.

Pike Place Market is a pretty neat spot along the Seattle waterfront. Also I would recommend checking out the big screen St. Helens Eruption film by one of the piers.

Sounds like you're rotating through a lot of different responsibilities for the fieldwork. Do you enjoy any particular aspect of it, or is it all satisfying? Good luck with the rest of the survey!
