Test Post for Matt

This is another test post for Matt as we are still exploring whether or not the notifications are working.  If you received notification of this post, it would be very helpful if you could let me know with a quick email or a comment here.

Thanks!

Testing

Just a test to see if the notifications are working.

IMPORTANT - Please Read

We are testing the auto-notification system as I am some what suspicious that everyone may not be getting noficiations of everyone elses posts. If you get this, please send me an email with GOT IT in the subject line.

If you get this but haven't seen other notifications, please see this post in the forum for how to subscribe

2008 Now that I have a blog, what should I blog about?

Your blog will provide,
a) a flexible medium for defining goals for the first, second and final thirds of their internship with your hosts,
b) a venue to develop plans of action to achieve these stated goals as well as a way to monitor progress throughout the summer, and
c) a venue for sharing and reflecting on the summer’s experiences with their peers.

So how might you start?  Start by describing what has happended so far. How is the orientation going?  How are you feeling about your upcoming summer experience?

Maintaining notifications?

It has been fantastic to hear from all of you!  I hope that the rest of last year's interns posts updates soon as I am very curious.

I had originally planned to have our webmaster turn off the notification services for the 2007 internship class blogs.  However, after seeing how excited everyone is about using this as a tool to catch up with each other, I am inclined to see if we can't keep all of you subscribed to each others blogs.  Does this sound like something desirable?

As an aside, we will alter the current state so that you are no longer being notified of this year's interns posts unless I hear an interest in keeping that functionality.

 Thoughts?  Comments?

Intern's research makes the news.

In addition to making waves at AGU, it appears Dave's talk has also brought the discusion to the attention of the local bay area media sources.  To view the article pleaes check out http://www.contracostatimes.com/search/ci_7721237
