Submit Your Highlight
Welcome to the input page for IRIS-enabled accomplishments and science highlights!
Our Motivation
These highlights not only provide the opportunity to showcase the extensive body of work produced by the IRIS community, but also will be important input to the 2013-2018 IRIS proposal to NSF, illustrating the quality and quantity of science that is enabled by the facilities available through IRIS. Authors of the upcoming proposal to NSF and future proposals will draw from this pool of IRIS-backed content.
We ask that your submitted highlights be structured around a comprehensive, key visual combined with a short caption. This format will be conducive for being displayed in categorized galleries. The goal should be an image and explanation in the style used for PPT presentations or in publications for broad audiences of geoscience professionals such as EOS, GSA Today, Perspectives in Science, or the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society. A more detailed description may still be appended to the submission. Authors may submit multiple highlights.
Instructions
This interface is designed to allow easy submission of your materials, while at the same time enable IRIS to efficiently process them. Please complete all the relevant boxes on the following form. You may enter text directly or cut and paste it from another source. Please select a category and keyword(s) that best represent your highlight. The proposal writing team will use these classifications as a starting point. Please include an attribution (traditional author reference, doi citation) for the figure if one is available. Thank you for sharing your work with the community, supporting the IRIS facility, and helping us to prepare for the upcoming proposal.
Andy Frassetto (andyf@iris.edu) will welcome feedback on how to improve this process.
