Funding Opportunity: NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)

September 3rd, 2010

The GRFP provides 3 years of Fellowship support to our nation’s best future scientists and engineers who seek research-based masters or PhD degrees in the science and engineering fields supported by NSF. The award includes a $30,000 per fellowship year stipend to the student, and a $10,500 fellowship year cost-of-education allowance to the graduate institution they will choose to attend. Undergraduates in their senior year and graduate students in the first or second year of their programs are generally eligible to apply. 2010 IRIS interns and alumni of the program interested in graduate school should consider applying.  More details and the deadlines (in mid November) can be found here http://www.nsf.gov/funding/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=6201
