Data Management Short Course

We are seeking applications from those interested in attending a short course on the subject of processing seismic data from the EarthScope USArray facilities. The short course will be held August 3-7, 2009, at the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. The primary goal of this short course is to provide training to a new generation of young scientists in the foundations of robust methods in seismic data processing. Our aim is to inspire the participants to become future leaders in developing more effective ways to handle data from large seismic arrays, such as USArray.

Participants will be selected by the short course steering committee. The short course is targeted at graduate students through early career scientists.
Travel and subsistence costs for participants in the short course will be covered by financial support from the EarthScope Program and the Education and Human Resources Program of the National Science Foundation.
