This individual is the technical lead for the ANF presentation layer and web page development. The position acts as a functional leader and includes designing and improving new and existing real-time web displays, web based processing, and information systems. Key tasks include develop and implement complex real-time data-aware web applications to interface with data gathered from sea-going and terrestrial geophysical sensors. Lead the creation of complex HTML-, XML-, Python-, PHP- and Matlab-based desktop and web applications that include graphical user (CSS, SVG) and dynamic (XML/JSON, Javascript) interfaces, database connectivity and interaction with the Antelope streaming and relational database systems for real time arrays at IGPP such as the ANZA and ANF projects. The position requires strong procedural and object-oriented programming, web-optimized illustration, design and development skills, as well as expertise using relational database management systems. In addition a solid understanding of geophysical research and data processing is helpful. Proven ability to make independent judgments and take initiative. Ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet multiple deadlines for multiple projects.
Must work occasional weekends and evenings.
Occasional travel to meetings and conferences off-site required.
