Post-Doctoral Research Position in Seismology

A post-doctoral research position in seismology is expected to become
available in the Department of Geology and Geophysics, University of
Wisconsin-Madison, beginning in winter 2008-2009. The position is a
full-time 1-year appointment, with the opportunity of continuation, as
a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. The successful applicant will
participate in a variety of projects, including research on subduction
zones, volcanic earthquakes, and the San Andreas fault. The expected
starting salary is in the range $40,000 to $43,000, depending on
qualifications and experience. The position is most appropriate for
candidates not more than 2 years past the Ph.D. Completion of all
Ph.D. requirements is necessary at the time of appointment.
The
starting dates for the positions are somewhat flexible, but preferably
between December 1, 2008 and April 1, 2009. Applicants should submit a
