We invite applications for PhD research assistantships for a 3-year NSF funded new project in continental dynamics at Purdue University. The student would join the research team investigating continental deformation through the innovative application of micropolar theory to understand the nature of block and continuous behavior. Strong quantitative skills are required. Ideal candidates will have a background in geophysics, numerical analysis or applied mathematics.
