UC Davis - Computational Infrastructure for Geodynamics

The University of California, Davis, invites applications for the position of Junior Developer in the Computational Infrastructure for Geodynamics (CIG). CIG is funded by the National Science Foundation to develop and support high performance open source software for geophysical applications in cooperation with the computational geoscience community.
The successful applicants will be expected to:
- Work with CIG researchers to setup and maintain websites and basic computing infrastructure to support scientific research and development,
- Provide support for researchers to share resultant data from simulations and analysis and collaborate with others, and
- Help researchers test and release new versions of scientific code.
Applicants should have knowledge of computer science, cross-platform programming, applied physics, geophysics or a closely related field.
