MT Impedance Determinant: DET

Determinant of an MT impedance is invariant under rotation:

DET= det \begin{bmatrix} Z_{xx} & Z_{xy}\\ Z_{yx} & Z_{yy} \end{bmatrix} =Z_{xx} Z_{yy}-Z_{yx} Z_{xy}

where Zxx , Zxy , Zyx , Zyy are the 4 components of MT impedance tenzor.
