IRIS EMC Slice Stack Viewer

The IRIS EMC Slice Stack Viewer allows users to compare up to 4 horizontal slices by stacking them vertically. These horizontal slices are plotted in the same order as defined by user. The quantity displayed (absolute velocity or velocity perturbation) depends on the selected model. The model grids are selected based on the lower-left and the upper-right corners of the area, as defined by user. For each slice the actual lower left (LL) and upper right (UR) coordinates are indicated in the legend under the image. Users may further refine the plot, on their own computer by downloading the Generic Mapping Tools (GMT) script and data values used to generate the image. The download links appear under the image once the processing is complete.

Users may use the companion interactive Google Map to select the area of interest and see the extent of the selected models.

default settings are loaded for each new model as long as they are not modified
add topography as the top layer  Note: adding topography will significantly increase the plot time!

Note: you also could use the & markers on the map to set the area corners
Lower-Left Corner (L) latitude (-80° to 80°) longitude (-180° to 180°)
Upper-Right Corner (U) latitude (-80° to 80°) longitude (-180° to 180°)
Options
vertical offset between slices  inch   map width  inch
Controls
valid slice limits and a model are required for the submit button to become active
expect longer processing time due to the topography layer on top
Notes • images will be removed after 7 days •  area covered by each selected model is shown in the corresponding color. Move the map markers to set the latitude and longitude values in the above form
