The sharp peak in April was from the M8.0 Tonga Earthquake. A double peak in early May was the result of a web article about the IRIS Seismic Monitor.

The big peak in May is a result of the Java Earthquake on May 26, 2006. The peak in July was from the M7.7 Java Earthquake.

The double peak in October followed the M4.2 North Korea event and the M6.6 Hawaii Earthquake.

The tall peak in November followed the M8.3 Kuril Island Earthquake.

Note: The weekly dips in the graph illustrates that there are fewer Web Visitors on the weekend.

The IRIS Website (blue) show peaks in Web rank as a result of the M4.2 North Korea event and the M6.6 Hawaii Earthquake. The University of Washington Website (green) and the USGS site (red), display a higher web ranking and different level of activity.
