UNAVCO co-sponsored a SACNAS (Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science) student tour of several local science facilities and research institutions prior to the national SACNAS conference. 55 students from Puerto Rico and across the US visited UNAVCO. Here a UNAVCO scientist is about to install a GPS antenna to do a real time kinematic survey, which is a stable, fast and accurate way to measure position.
