What should I do when there is an error message in rdseed?

Q:  When I try to run rdseed, I get an error message. What should I do?

A:  First, check to make sure that you are running the most recent version of rdseed.  The IRIS DMC software page indicates the current release version for nearly all of its distributed tools:

If you have the newest version and you still get an error message, you may have a bad SEED volume.  If you cannot troubleshoot the cause of the error, please send an e-mail to "comments AT iris.washington.edu" to ask for assistance.
