How do I check what data is available from the DMC?

The best way to check on data availability is to use our on-line database access tool SeismiQuery. SeismiQuery offers several different query tools to assist the user in acquiring information about data availability as well as metadata about stations, channels and event catalogs.

Another set of tools looks at our real-time data buffer and facilitates access and analysis of the data contained there.  When looking for very recent data, you might want to consult the BUD Tools page.

Users can also generate interactive plots and charts of the IRIS data archive holdings through the Metadata Aggregator Tool (MDA) by locating the "Query archive for data day availability" section under any selected network, station, or channel entry.  The 'data available' tool, is initially referenced by year, but the user can change lookup parameters once the tool is open.
