User Question:I was wondering how I can request data in SAC format? In the BREQ_fast request description there is no option for SAC.
Answer:
Using BREQ_fast request and rdseed
If you are requesting your SEED via a BREQ_fast request, you would first download your SEED file from the ftp site and then use rdseed (http://www.iris.edu/manuals/rdseed.htm) to convert the SEED data to SAC format.
Using JWEED
You can select seismograms and save them in to your local computer in SAC format using JWEED. Watch the JWEED tutorial.
Using VASE
Seismograms can be selected and saved to your local computer in SAC format using VASE. Go to the VASE manual for step-by-step instructions.
