seed2db problems with new SEED volumes

Q:  The Seed2db program seems to have broke as of last week on new DMC issued SEED volumes.  Do you know if the new Antelope 5.0 64 bit version will fix the broken Seed2db program ?

A:  As I understand it the latest Antelope still has problems reading the DMC's new SEED volumes with seed2db.

The work around and preferred method of importing SEED data into an Antelope database is a two step process of loading the metadata and the data with seed2db and miniseed2db respectively.

Using the same target Antelope database:

1) Run seed2db with the dataless/SEED volume
2) Run miniseed2db

This works well when you have separate dataless and miniseed files.  It is not so clear that it does the right thing if you have a single, full SEED volume; the seed2db program will stop on errors because it cannot read the data but it'll read the headers correctly and the miniseed2db will print errors for the headers that it cannot read and hopefully reads all the data records (it certainly reads something in my limited tests).
