What happens after the USArray TA reaches the east coast?

The USArray Transportable Array (TA) is a set of more than 400 stations traversing the United States from West to East over a 10 year time span.  In 2013 when stations are installed in their East Coast locations they will be operated until 2015 such that each site will have recorded 2 years of observational data.
There is no firm plan regarding what to do with stations that are removed from their "final" East Coast sites.  The NSF, IRIS and the community are actively discussing options.  One possbility is to deploy the array, in some form, across Alaska.

One test station, TA.TOLK, has been deployed in Alaska as a feasibility study.
